Aboriginal-Entrepreneur - Business Serives for the Aboriginal Community       Business Without Limits

POWERFUL TEACHINGS "Until thought is linked with purpose there is no intelligent accomplishment.  They who have no central purpose in their life fall an easy prey to worries, fears, troubles, and self pitying leading to failure, unhappiness, and loss."

James Allen - As a Man Thinketh

"When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thought break their bonds; Your mind transends limitat-ions, your consciousness expands in every direct-ion,and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by farthen you ever dreamed yourself to be."   Pantanjali

 Tourism Planning

Tourism is one of many activities in a community or region that requires planning and coordination.  Planning is the process of identifying objectives and defining and valuating methods of achieving them. By comprehensive planning we mean planning which considers all of the tourism resources, organizations, markets, and programs within a region. Comprehensive planning also considers economic, environmental, social, and institutional aspects of tourism development.

Like any planning, tourism planning is goal-oriented, striving to achieve certain objectives by matching available resources and programs with the needs and wants of people. Comprehensive planning requires a systematic approach, usually involving a series of steps. The process is best viewed as an interactive and on-going one, with each step subject to modification and refinement at any stage of the planning process.

Tourism Development

Tourism is the fastest growing industry in the world and Tourism Canada has named "Aboriginal Tourism" as the most underdeveloped tourism opportunity in Canada. There is a strong interest in our northern regions both for the beauty of the natural environment as well as its original inhabitants. Germany, as one example, grew up with a romantic concept of Canada being inhabited by the Indians and Inuit in an idyllic setting. We believe that in order to build an effective tourism industry there needs to be a development plan. Success in tourism begins with a willingness of an area to embrace tourism, coupled with an effective program for building a solid tourist-based industry. We would prepare recommendations for a development plan, which will define the process that will determine the uniqueness of your area.

We will include a development approach to Human Resource Development, Marketing, Transportation, Accommodations and Support Industries. As well as hospitality training.

The importance of training in working with the public is increasingly recognized as the key to success. More than many industries, the tourist and hospitality industry relies on personal relationships to set the standards, the atmosphere and the message of importance to the customer.

Unlike many other business transactions, the person on holiday or visiting a region is looking for a good emotional experience as well as satisfying needs such as buying gas, looking for accommodation, eating or enjoying a local attraction. How that visitor experiences a region will determine the willingness and enthusiasm for a return visit.
